The Soque River Watershed Association will offer its annual workshop, “Harvesting Rain with Rain Barrels and Rain Gardens,” from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, in

the Visual Technology Building at North Georgia Technical College.

Participants will learn how to capture stormwater using rain barrels and to design gardens that increase water retention.

There is no fee for the workshop, but attendees will be able to purchase barrels at a discounted price of $35.

A lunch consisting of locally grown foods will be served during the workshop. A donation of $5-$10 is requested to offset the cost of the food.
