The Corduroy Road, an Americana band from Athens, will be the featured musicians at the Grant Street Music Room this Friday night, Aug. 10.
The music room is located in the Old Clarkesville Mill at 583 Grant Street in Clarkesville. Tickets are $5 each. The band will begin playing at 8:30 p.m. Doors open at 8 p.m.
The Corduroy Road recently released its CD,Two Step Silhouette (June2012), which has received anumber of positive reviews from music magazines.
Members are Drew Carman (vocals, banjo, guitar, harmonica), Elijah NeeSmith (vocals and standup bass), Matt Dyson (banjo and hollow-body guitar), Russell McCumber (fiddle) and Garrett Chism (drums). All reside in Athens.
