White County High School athletic director Lloyd Collins announced Friday afternoon that Quint Moss had been named the interim girl's basketball head coach for the 2023-2024 season.
The program has been without a head coach since last week when Jarvis Davenport resigned to take the boys' head coaching job at North Hall High School. Due to the late timing of Davenport's departure, WCHS made the decision to name an interim coach for the upcoming season and then re-evaluate the coaching situation at the end of the season.
Moss, a WCHS graduate, worked as the head assistant under Davenport and also served as the junior varsity head coach. Moss will also be co-head coach of the WCHS track program next spring.
