Get Georgia flavor at ‘Spirit of Appalachia’
Fine food and fun times are set to highlight Georgia’s Spirit of Appalachia Food, Wine & Art Festival this Saturday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the grounds of the Hardman Farm State Historic Site.
The Georgia Grown event, produced by the White County Chamber of Commerce in partnsership with Springer Mountain Farms and Atlanta Magazine, will feature culinary demonstrations from celebrity chefs throughout the day, along with the chance to taste and buy Georgia wines and craft beers. Barbecue and farm-to-table specialties will be sold on site.
Artists and craftsmen will also display and sell their creations.
Admission to the Spirit of Appalachia Festival is free. Parking is $10 per vehicle. Tickets for food and beverage tasting will be sold. All guests will be carded at the gate, so please have identification handy.
