Pickup truck overturns in school driveway, no one injured
No one was injured when a pickup truck overturned in the parking lot of Mt. Yonah Elementary School just after noon Monday, June 12.
The driver of the truck had been northbound on Duncan Bridge Road when he veered into the school’s driveway, knocking over a light pole, a couple of small trees and several sections of the decorative chain along the edge of the driveway, according to an unofficial report from a deputy at the scene. The F-150 pickup landed on its side, just short of the school parking lot and some distance from the school building.
White County rescue personnel worked briefly to free the driver, trapped inside the cab. He was later seen in handcuffs, escorted by deputies.
