Severe weather awareness week testing to be done on Wednesday
UPDATE: The testing has been postponed because of the weather. It will now take place on either Thursday or Friday, depending on the weather.
This week, Feb. 4 to 8, is severe weather awareness week in Georgia, according to David Murphy, director of White County Public Safety. Each year White County partipates in this event, and on Wednesday, Feb. 6 (weather permitting), will exercise the county's warning capabilities, including the outdoor warning sirens. The testing will occur around 9 a.m.
