Threat against White County Middle School under investigation
Authorities are investigating after a threat was made against White County Middle School on Thursday, March 1. According to White County school superintendent Dr. Jeff Wilson, law enforcement was notified of the threat and is currently investigating. The student who made the threat, who has not been identified at this time, was removed from the school and won’t be back while the investigation is ongoing, he said. Wilson said that nobody was in danger during the day and there was no actual threat happening. However, if anybody makes any kind of threat, he said it will be investigated and reported to law enforcement, he said. Wilson said that the schools would have conversations with students in class about not talking about guns or shooting guns in school. He also asked that parents sit down with their students and have the same conversation to reiterate the discussion.
