Ernestine Harkins Wiley
Ernestine Harkins Wiley of Cleveland passed away Monday, Jan. 1, 2018. She was 83.
Mrs. Wiley was born Feb. 16, 1934, in Hall County, to her late parents Ernest Harkins and Mandy Ingram. She worked in the textile industry as a cloth inspector for Gainesville Mill, and was a native of White County.
Ernestine was a lifelong member of her church, Dewberry #2, where she faithfully sang in the choir. She was also involved in circle meetings. Almost any other time, you could find her doing her favorite thing, taking care of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving spouse of 48 years, Van "Doc" Wiley of Cleveland; children, Cathy Cosgrove, Steve Ford and fiancé Kris Collins, Trudy Bailey, and Jamie Headings; sister, Audrey Rogers of Greenville, South Carolina; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan.4, 2018, in the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, with the Rev. Darren Cain and the Rev. Dwayne Riles officiating. A reception will be served after the memorial service at Dewberry #2.
