Lady Warriors win fifth straight match

The White County girls' soccer team continued its early season winning streak last Friday night at Habersham Central, knocking off the Lady Raiders 1-0 to keep their record perfect at 5-0. The Lady Warriors got an first half goal from McKinley Jones, above, and relied on their defensive pressure to keep the Lady Raiders at bay the rest of the way. WCHS goalie Ansley Seabolt posted her third shutout of the season, posting seven saves. The Lady Warriors have been dominant through the early stretch of the season, outscoring their opponents 18-2. In the boys' game, the Raiders handed the Warriors a 3-1 loss, dropping WCHS to 1-4 on the season. The WCHS teams played a doubleheader Wednesday night against Lakeview Academy in the opening of the Crown Mountain Cup in Dahlonega. Game scores and details were unavailable at press time.
