There were no injuries reported in a house fire on Monday, April 12.

According to White County Public Safety Director David Murphy, White County Fire Services, along with the Cleveland Fire Department and Lee Arrendale Fire Brigade, responded to a residence on U.S. 129 South in regards to a call about a residential fire.

"First units on scene reported a 3,000 square foot house 70% involved with a 100 gallon propane tank that had vented and was burning as well," Murphy said. "Firefighters set up a defensive attack and remained on scene for approximately six hours, home was a total loss."

The homeowners did not need assistance from the Red Cross. Murphy said the fire is under investigation.
