No serious injuries reported in Aug. 13 wreck

No serious injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on Friday, Aug. 13, that involved a semi-truck and car.

The accident occurred on U.S. 129 South near the intersection of Truelove Road when a 2009 Honda Civic driven by Jordan Alexander, 21, of Cleveland, was heading north on U.S. 129. The Civic veered into the opposite lane, where it struck a 2017 Freightliner tractor-trailer being driven by Jeffrey Laufer, 41, of Clayton, head on, according to Georgia State Patrol.

GSP stated that is is suspected that Alexander fell asleep while driving and is charged with failure to maintain lane. Alexander was reported to have minor injury and was treated at the scene.
