Thursday structure fire under investigation

A structure fire that occurred in the early morning hours on Thursday, May 27, is under investigation.

According to White County Public Safety Director David Murphy, at approximately 1:04 a.m., firefighters from White County, the Cleveland Fire Department, and the Lee Arrendale Fire Brigade responded to Camp Coleman Drive in regards to a fire. 

The structure on fire was a storage shed for the camp, and when fire personnel arrived was approximately 70% involved, Murphy said. 

"Firefighter set up a defensive attack due to exposure, power line issues and the extent of fire involvement at arrival," Murphy said.

There were no injuries. Fire personnel were at the scene for approximately 5 ½ hours.
