Crowds packed along the sides of Helen’s streets Saturday for Helen’s Annual Christmas Parade. Doris Skelton of Alpine Helen/White County Convention and Visitors Bureau said the parade was at least 50 participants long, including floats, classic cars and even the Chattahoochee Valley Bermese Mountain Dog Club. Floats were judged and awarded prizes. First place went to the Faschingverein float. Second place went to the entry from Cowboy and Angels. Third place was snagged by the glittery red sled entered by Mountain Lakes Resort.
