Caution, not panic, urged as coronavirus arrives in Georgia

The White County Pandemic Task Force met Monday, March 2, to review local plans and share information, according to White County Public Safety Director David Murphy.

Health officials have noted many of the same precautions advised related to the conoravirus are similar to those for prevent spread of illnesses, such as the more-common influenza, which affects more people by comparison. While the public is encouraged to take steps to prevent further spread, Murphy emphasized there is no need to panic over the conoravirus.
