The Cleveland Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in the search for Mattie Mizell, a 69-year-old female officials say suffers from dementia and is missing from Cleveland. She was wearing blue pants, and purple/blue hoodie with black shoes with white soles.
Police say she was last seen on Saturday, Jan. 1, at 2:40 p.m. in the area of the White County Middle School walking in a Northwestern direction possibly towards Allison Drive, Doug Allison Heights, Cantrell Road, U.S. 129, Hilltop Road, Hulsey Road and Ga. 75 North. These are possible routes that she may have taken.
The community can help by searching the outer areas of their property to include garages, porches, shrubs and brush areas, vehicles or any area that a person may use for shelter in the rainy weather. In addition to this, the sides of the roadway, culverts, drain areas, etc. could be searched to better assist, police say.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cleveland Police Department at 706-865-2111 or dispatch E911 at 706-865-0911.
