Water to be cut off due to construction in Helen

Utility repair work will be done South Main Street in Helen across from the Alpine Chevron Gas Station today, according to a notice from the city.

Due to the work, water will be cut off for several areas for a couple of hours, the notice said. The water will be cut off around noon and is expected to remain off for five or six hours, or until the repair is complete. The businesses and streets affected include: Dollar General, Paleteria Morelia, Mine Shaft Tattoo, Alpine Dispensary, Bare Necessitie Tanning, Best Nails Image, Roper's Clothing, Helen Ace Hardware, Wonderland Antiques, Alpine Brew, Alpine Chevron, Dottie's Homecoming, Mervin Barber's Apartment Complex, residents on Ber Weg and residents on Alpenrosen Strasse.
