TMU duo earns All-American honors

A pair of Truett McConnell student-athletes are part of the the 2021 NAIA Women's Soccer All-America Team.

Senior Hannah Logue and sophomore Eliska Dvorakova were selected to the All-American squad by the NAIA All-America Committee, which consists of the NAIA-Women's Soccer Coaches Association officers and seven additional women's soccer coaches.

The All-American teams consist of three 11-member teams and an honorable mention list. Logue and Dvorakova are the first players in the history of the TMU women's program to earn All-American honors.

"We are very proud of Hannah and Eliska and the impact they both made in their first year with us was tremendous," said TMU head coach David McDowell. "It wasn't just their ability as soccer players, but how quickly and humbly they adjusted to our team and how much they thrived in our system. As players they are superb, but as people they are outstanding, and they are both so deserving of winning this All-American honor."

Logue, a forward, was named to the NAIA All-America third team after being named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Player of the Year, and earning the AAC Golden Boot award with a conference best 23 goals. She was second in the AAC with 55 points and fifth with nine assists.

During the NAIA Opening Round, Logue had three goals and two assists in two games, as the Lady Bears recorded their first-ever NAIA national tournament win.

Dvorakova was named an NAIA All-America Honorable Mention list. Dvorakova dominated all season in midfield, recording two goals and two assists in the NAIA Opening Round, along with ranking fifth nationally  in total assists (17), ninth in total points (61), 11th in total goals (22) and 15th in total shots (100) during the season.

The sophomore midfielder was named the AAC Offensive Player of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Conference first team. Dvorakova was first in the conference in total assists (17), total points (61), and  total shots (100), and was  and second in total goals (22).
