Cleveland denies request for zoning change

The Cleveland City Council denied a zoning request from the Cleveland Church of God Inc. at their May 9 meeting.
The church was asking permission from the council to rezone a property at 1882 East Kytle Street from B-II Highway Commercial to B-I Central Business.

The City of Cleveland has announced that Kevin Harris has been named the sole finalist for the position of City Administrator. The Cleveland City Council voted on Tuesday afternoon to name Mr. Harris as the sole finalist, officials said in a press release Wednesday morning.

At its March 14 meeting, the Cleveland City Council approved the first consideration of an amendment to an alcohol beverage ordinance that will allow sales through curbside pickup.
Businesses that offer this service will have to adhere to guidelines stipulated in the amendment.

O’Bryant to lead city’s economic development

Cleveland City Administrator Tom O’Bryant has been named the city’s new economic development and planning director.
The Cleveland City Council announced the change at its March 7 called meeting. O’Bryant has been city administrator since 2017.
