Early voting in the May primary election will begin Monday, May 2, from 8 a.m. to 5p.m. at the County Voting Offices at 1241 Helen Highway Suite 210-A in Cleveland.
On the ballot will be local candidates for school board and county commission, as well races for the U.S. Senate an House of Representatives and most top state offices, including governor. Candidates for state senator and state representative will also be up for election.
Early voting will continue every weekday afterward for three weeks from May 2 to May 20. Early voting will also be held on two Saturdays, May 7 and May 14.
The general primary election will be held on Tuesday, May 24 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Election Day voting has been relocated in the Sautee Nacoochee, Mount Yonah, and Robertstown precincts.
Sautee Nacoochee voters will vote at the Sautee Nacoochee Community Association (SNCA) Community Hall located at 283 Highway 255 North. Mount Yonah voters will vote at the The Bridge Church located at 607 Hulsey Rd in Cleveland.
The Robertstown precinct has been combined with the Helen precinct, and they will both vote at Helen City Hall located at 25 Alpenrosen Strasse in Helen. Blue Creek voters will vote at Blue Creek Community Building located at 2496 Highway 255 South in Cleveland. Blue Ridge voters will vote at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church located at 986 Mount Pleasant Church Road in Cleveland. Mossy Creek voters will vote at Mossy Creek United Methodist Church located at 2154 Post Road in Cleveland.
Shoal Creek voters will vote at Shoal Creek Church Community Building 142 Shoal Creek Church Road in Cleveland. Tesnatee voters will vote at Mount Yonah Baptist Church located at 882 Asbestos Road in Cleveland. Town Creek voters will vote at the Town Creek Community Center located at 680 Narrow Lane in Dahlonega. White Creek voters will vote at Pioneer Resa located at 1342 Highway 254 in Cleveland.
The drop box for absentee by mail ballots will be located at 1241 Helen Highway, Suite 210-A Cleveland, Georgia 30528. The accessible hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday from the dates May 2 through May 20.
