UPDATE: The boil water notice has been lifted as of 9:20 a.m. today, Feb. 3.

The City of Cleveland issued a boil water notice late last night, Saturday, Feb. 1, due to a 6-inch water main break.

City water customers affected are in the service areas of West Underwood from Mary’s Lane, Angel Lane to Head Street, Cardinal Court, Kensington Lane, Ascot Dr., Berkshire Dr., Head Lane and the north section of Campbell Street (starting at Helton Road to Hwy 115 West).

Residents and businesses in this area will notice loss of water or water pressure while the line is being repaired, according to the notice, which is required by the state Environmental Protection Division when water pressure drops below 20 PSI (pounds per square inch).

Water needs to be boiled until the city lifts the notice. It will notify local media as soon as test results are received. Boiled water is for drinking purposes or bottled water can be used until bacteriological samples can be collected and tested.
