Change will be coming to city leadership for Cleveland and Helen, following the unofficial results of the Nov. 2 municipal elections.

In a pair of races for Cleveland City Council, Jeremy McClure defeated incumbent Kevin Stanley for the Ward 3 seat, and CJ McDonald won the Ward 4 seat over incumbent Bradley Greene.

The Helen City Commission race saw incumbent Steve Fowler, Cliff Hood and Cinnamon Ruston garner the most votes to win the three at-large seats up for election. Other candidates included incumbent Lee Landress, Steve Brooks and Linda McAllister.

Cleveland City Council

Ward 3

Jeremy McClure - 187 votes  

Kevin Stanley (incumbent) - 158 votes  

Ward 4

CJ McDonald - 263 votes  

Bradley Greene (incumbent) - 86 votes  


Helen City Commission

At-large seats; The three candidates with the most votes are elected.

Steve Fowler (incumbent) - 107 votes 

Cliff Hood - 86 votes 

Cinnamon Ruston - 73 votes 

Lee Landress (incumbent) - 64 votes 

Linda McAllister - 62 votes 

Steve Brooks - 45 votes
