Pets of the Week: Aug. 26

Pets of the week for the week of Aug. 26 from White County Animal Control and Charles Smithgall Humane Society.

At White County Animal Control, Marissa is a 9-month-old female kitten and is sweet as pie! Marissa was found with a collar on that appeared new, but her people never came for her. Marissa starts making biscuits when you just look at her, and you can hear her purring from across the room. Mia is a 9-month-old female shepherd mix. She is shy at first, but warms up quickly. Mia is a little girl who likes to take walks outside, and sit in your lap if you let her.

At Charles Smithgall Humane Society, with one blue and one brown eye, Rusty is a handsome boy. He’s a 2-year-old retriever/husky mix and weighs 57 pounds. Rusty used to be terrified of everything, but thanks to a special dog trainer, Rusty has grown into an absolute dream dog. He loves being with people and enjoys going on long walks. He’ll make for a terrific companion. Oreo arrived as a tiny kitten near death a year ago. She’s a lovely white/black cat with a sweet little mask around her ears. Oreo loves to snuggle and gets on well with other cats. She’s an absolute sweetheart.
