Pets of the Week: Sept. 9

Pets of the week for the week of Sept. 9 from White County Animal Control and Charles Smithgall Humane Society.

At White County Animal Control, Crystal is a 2 ½- month-old Tortoiseshell kitten who is as sweet as they come. She and her sister came into the shelter very shy, and have started to show their true colors. Crystal loves toys and cat treats. Jake is a 1 ½-year-old Golden Lab mix. Jake is very high energy, and loves people of all ages. Jake would thrive in a large family home with lots of walks or room to run.

At Charles Smithgall Humane Society, Buckwheat is a 1-year-old pointer/terrier mix, weighing about 35 lbs. Buckwheat is affectionate and sweet. He likes other dogs and people. He can be shy at first, but warms up quickly. He loves romping in the yard or climbing in your lap to snuggle. Bret is a handsome boy. He’s been through a lot lately, but he’s as sweet and affectionate as they come. Bret is 8 years old. He prefers a quiet house, but he gets along with dogs and cats. He’s been stressed in the shelter and could use some TLC. Come meet Buckwheat and Bret.
