A two-vehicle accident on Monday, April 5, claimed the life of a Sautee Nacoochee man.

Carl Leinenweber, 57, was driving a 2002 Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on Ga. 75, while David Cratty, 38, also of Sautee Nacoochee, was in a 2016 Chevrolet Express van stopped on Ga. 75 while waiting to make a left turn, according to Sgt. Major Patterson with Georgia State Patrol Post 6 in Gainesville.

Leinenweber was following too closely, and his motorcycle struck the right rear of the van, Patterson said. Cratty was not injured in the accident.
