There’s value in service

White County is filled with individuals and groups who help their neighbors in times of need. With some people having had their food assistance delayed, that basic need must be met more now than ever.

Our friend, Levi Bowman, is a scion of the multi-awarded Isaacs who are famous for their blood harmony in their bluegrass gospel group. His mother is Becky Isaacs Bowman. The Isaacs are the ONLY gospel group to be members of the respected Grand Ole Opry.

On Tuesday, Nov. 11, our nation will formally recognize the service and sacrifice made by our military service men and women. Here in White County, numerous Veterans Day ceremonies will be held at our local schools. Veterans groups and churches are also holding events.
