When summer days are hot, the Frances Meadows Aquatic Center in Gainesville is a go-to place to cool off.

The center is available to Hall County residents and visitors alike. The state-of-the-art facility features a 10-lane indoor competitive pool, a four-lane instructional pool, a fitness center and wellness center.

But in the summer, it’s all about the fun. Kids and adults will love the two body slides, each three-stories high, a swirl pool, drop buckets, a kids’ slide, happy loops, water troughs, zero-depth entry and a play structure with interactive water elements.

For parents who just want to watch the kids play, there is a deck with plenty of chairs and umbrellas, and a picnic area is available.

“Northeast Georgia loves the Frances Meadows Aquatic Center,” said Julie Butler Colombini, marketing and communications manager for Gainesville Parks and Recreation.

The Frances Meadows Aquatic Center is also available for birthday parties, meetings, retreats and more.
