Women throughout Northeast Georgia now have a new opportunity to learn, play, and enjoy the game of golf with the official launch of the LPGA Amateurs Northeast Georgia Chapter.
The new chapter is dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive community where women of all ages and skill levels can connect through golf. Whether someone is brand new to the game or has been playing for years, the chapter offers opportunities for instruction, organized play, social events, networking, and friendly competition.
"We're excited to bring LPGA Amateurs to Northeast Georgia," said Jan Watts, President of the LPGA Amateurs Northeast Georgia Chapter. "Our goal is to help more women discover the game, improve their skills, build confidence and create lasting friendships both on and off the golf course."
As part of the LPGA Amateurs organization, members will enjoy access to local events, golf education, travel opportunities and a nationwide network of women who share a passion for the game. The chapter is currently welcoming new members from across Northeast Georgia, regardless of experience level. Beginners are encouraged to join, and no handicap is required.
The chapter will host a variety of activities throughout the year, including play days, instructional clinics, social gatherings, tournaments, volunteer opportunities, and special events designed to make golf fun and accessible for every member.
The chapter is proud to call Valhalla Golf Club in Helen its home course and looks forward to partnering with the club to provide an outstanding experience for members while also enjoying events at courses throughout the Northeast Georgia region.
