Hogan family and Ashley Helton honored for contributions to White County agriculture

The business legacy of Leroy and Margaret Hogan is being honored with their induction to the White County Agriculture Hall of Fame, and a dedication to supporting the local agriculture industry and ag-related programs for youth has earned Ashley Helton this year’s Friend of Agriculture Award.

The White County News is the winner of six awards in the Georgia Press Association Better Newspaper Contest. The News received first place in Lifestyle Coverage category. A judge wrote that the coverage “... captures the lifestyle and culture of this community well.

The White County News is the winner of a dozen awards in the Georgia Press Association Better Newspaper Contest. Honors were highlighted by the News being named one of the state’s top weekly newspapers by received second place in the overall General Excellence category for its division.
