The White County Board of Elections will officially begin its oversight Jan. 1, just in time for the Jan. 5 runoff elections, but it will have some help in the transition.

There was no local election drama after a manual recount of roughly 14,800 ballots over three days.
Georgia counties launched a manual recount Friday, Nov. 13, of the nearly 5 million paper ballots cast for the presidential election.
One of White County’s most memorable election seasons continues to take new turns with a presidential recount and three runoff elections on the horizon.
