Election Day for Helen municipal races is Tuesday, Nov. 7.
Helen voters will be voting to fill two seats on the city commission. Voters will have four candidates to choose from on the ballot – Mervin Barbree, Josh Garrison, Lee Landress and Randy Summers. Each voter will be able to select two of the above candidates as well as an option to write-in a candidate.
Incumbents Jeff Ash and Fred Garmon decided they would not seek reelection.
Election day voting will be held at the Robertstown/Helen precinct, Helen City Hall, 25 Alpenrosen Strasse.
Only voters who live within the city limits of Helen may vote in the election.
As of Tuesday, 39 voters had cast advanced voting ballots, according to Supervisor of Elections and Registration Jody Davis. He added that three voters had requested absentee by mail ballots, and those were sent but not returned yet.
The last day to participate in early voting is Friday, Nov. 3. Early voting is held in the elections office in the Mauney Building on Helen Highway.
