Buzzard Mountain fire 60% contained, crews continue work

UPDATE THURSDAY, APRIL 16

White County Fire Services released the following statement this morning:

The U.S. Forest Service has updated the Buzzard Mountain Fire to 100% containment. Crews will continue to monitor over the coming days and weeks.

White County Public Safety urges residents to remember that the elevated fire danger remains. We encourage all residents to remain cautious and refrain from outdoor burning.

We appreciate the continued efforts of all responding agencies and the cooperation of our community throughout this incident.
