A Cleveland man died in a single-vehicle wreck on Saturday, April 10.
According to a Georgia State Patrol accident report, William Scott Bentley, 69, was heading south on Ga. 75 (Helen Highway) in a 2005 GMC Sierra. Bentley was reportedly about a half-mile north of Duncan Bridge Road when he failed to maintain his lane and crossed the centerline. The vehicle went onto the east shoulder and hitting a tree with the front of the vehicle.
The GSP report states alcohol is suspected to have been a factor in the accident.
