Dawsonville man arrested for incest

A Dawsonville man has been arrested and charged with incest.

The White County Sheriff's Office responded Sept. 13 to a residence in the area of Westmoreland Road regarding a dispute, according to a statement from WCSO Capt. Clay Hammond. While at the location, deputies reportedly learned information that resulted in an investigation involving Steve Williamson, 35, of Dawsonville. 

“Investigators obtained evidence, which resulted in Williamson being charged with incest,” Hammond said in the release. “This investigation is ongoing, which may result in additional charges.”

No additional details related to the alleged incident were released.
