A traffic stop in White County in September netted $120,000 worth of drugs.

According to Trent Hillsman with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, at approximately 2 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, White County deputies conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 129 in the area of Poppy Drive. During the traffic stop, law enforcement seized approximately 1,112 grams of methamphetamine and less than one ounce of marijuana. The street value of the drugs is estimated to be $120,000.

While they were arrested in September, Hillsman said ARDEO is now able to release the information.

Warren Sanders, 55, and Ateela McClain, 33, both of Tennessee, were charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of marijuana less than one ounce, Hillsman said. They were taken to the White County Sheriff’s Office.
