Whit Hollowell
Habersham EMC has named Whit Hollowell as acting CEO.
Hollowell started at HEMC on Monday, Oct. 7, according to Nicole Dover, HEMC director of strategy and communications. Hollowell was the CEO of Coastal Electric in Midway for the past 19 years and previously served as vice president of member services at Tideland EMC in North Carolina.
"Mr. Hollowell will lead HEMC’s daily operations under a mutual aid agreement with Coastal EMC, while the Board of Directors conducts their search for a long-term CEO," Dover said. "Due to the importance of the position, the HEMC Board is taking a very methodical approach and does not have a timeline to fill the position."
The announcement follows the departure of Brad Hicks, who served as HEMC's CEO from October 2017 to September 2019.
