Hulsey Road traffic to shift starting Sept. 9

Starting Thursday, Sept. 9, there will be a traffic shift on Hulsey Road due to construction for phase 3 of the bypass.

According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, the traffic shift will take place on Hulsey Road from Helen Highway to U.S. 129. This is to allow to continue on the construction of the concrete median, sidewalk and crosswalk curb cuts at the intersection, and to finalize signal related work.

Work on the bypass is weather permitting, DOT said. Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, stay alert, and watch for workers.
