Two qualify for Cleveland City Council Ward 2 seat

Cleveland voters will have another race to decide on this year with two candidates qualifying for the Cleveland City Council Ward 2 seat.

Rebecca Yardley and Felicia Sutton both qualified for the council member position. Qualifying ended at noon on Wednesday, April 1. The Ward 2 seat became open when former council member Annie Sutton resigned to run for mayor. Ward 2 includes the southwestern portion of the city, going south from Ga. 115 West and west from U.S. 129 South.

The Ward 2 special election is scheduled for May 19.
