Staff reports   Truett McConnell University Board of Trustees will meet in a closed session today, Sept. 25, to consider taking action once they review progress made on a third-party investigation into sexual abuse and cover-up allegations.

55th annual Oktoberfest kicks off

News promotes two staffers

    CNI Regional Publisher Keith Barlow announced Tuesday that marketing specialist Erin Etris and senior reporter Denise Etheridge have accepted key leadership positions at the White County News. Etris will oversee all the day-to-day business duties at the News as general manager.

One dead in 3-car crash

Staff report   A fatal crash closed down State Route 11 (Highway 129 North) for nearly three hours on Tuesday. One person was killed and three others were injured in the three-vehicle crash near Albert Reid Road just before 1 p.m. on Sept. 2.
