There have been 1399 total confirmed COVID-19 cases in White County since the start of the pandemic, according to the update on Sunday, Dec. 7, on the Georgia Department of Public Health's website.

There were no changes in White County’s presidential election results following the completion of a recount last week.
White County saw its second-highest month of confirmed coronavirus cases during the month of November.
The 2014 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) program concluded in November, generating several million dollars more in sales tax revenue than initially expected.
In Cleveland, the Christmas in the Mountains celebration and parade will be this Saturday, Dec. 5, from 5-8 p.m., with the parade starting at 7 p.m. There will be vendors on the square as part of the holiday market, and a Christmas tree lighting in Freedom Park at 6:20 p.m. The parade will follow its normal route from Jack P. Nix Elementary School through the Cleveland Square to White County Middle School.
