The White County School System is updating parents and students on plans for the rest of the year. “The COVID-19 pandemic is presenting unprecedented challenges in Georgia and across the country,” said WCSS Superintendent Dr. Laurie Burkett in an April 17 update.

Who knew that when teachers and students said goodbye on March 13, they would be saying goodbye for the rest of the year? Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp announced April 1 that k-12 public schools would remain closed for the rest of the school year to help control the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
White County schools will continue with the learning from home plan through Friday, April 3, in accordance with Gov. Brian Kemp's directive.
