Lady Warrior squad wins Mountain championship

For a group of White County Middle School girls, the last two years have been nothing short of perfection on the basketball court. The White County Middle School eighth-grade girl's team wrapped up an unbeaten season last Friday in Jasper, winning the Mountain Athletic Conference championship.

WCMS second at league tourney

The White County Middle School volleyball team brought home the runner-up trophy last Saturday at the North Georgia Mountain League Tournament in Dahlonega. The Lady Warriors knocked off Lumpkin County 2-0 in the tournament semifinals, but fell to Fannin County 2-0 in the championship match.

WCMS teams begin fall prep

It's time for the White County Middle School fall sports teams to start the process of preparing for the 2020 fall sports season. The school's football team has been having workouts for several weeks, mirroring the summer program  used by the Warriors' high school team.

WCMS teams begin title chase

The Mountain League basketball tournament tipped off this week for the White County Middle School teams. The WCMS teams are competing in the seventh-grade and eighth-grade events through the week, with the league championship games set for Friday afternoon.
