Cajun fare comes to the Cleveland square

A new shop is bringing the taste of Louisiana to the Cleveland square. Cajun Specialties opened on a limited scale this week, offering ready-to-eat Cajun delights and a selection of flavorful products for the pantry.

Longtime pharmacist turns store over to new owners

Cleveland Drug Company is getting new ownership with familiar faces. Longtime pharmacist and owner Ray Black is handing over reigns of the business to his granddaughters, Marci Brown and Haley Thomas, as of Saturday, Jan. 1.

Developer planning for new Helen hotel

Plans are in development for a new hotel on the north end of Helen’s Main Street. Alpharetta-based Rhinehart Management wants to build a Home2 Suites by Hilton brand hotel on recently purchased property between The Heidi Motel and Hofer’s of Helen.
