Incumbents win easily in primary races

Incumbents Linda Erbele and Lyn Holcomb successfully fended off primary challenges in Tuesday’s primary election in White County. Erbele received 3,754 votes in the Republican race for White County School Board.

Early voting for May primary gets underway next week

Early voting in the May primary election will begin Monday, May 2, from 8 a.m. to 5p.m. at the County Voting Offices at 1241 Helen Highway Suite 210-A in Cleveland. On the ballot will be local candidates for school board and county commission, as well races for the U.S.

Presidential recount underway in White County

Georgia counties launched a manual recount Friday, Nov. 13, of the nearly 5 million paper ballots cast for the presidential election. White County began mid-morning as batches of absentee ballots were distributed among six tables, each with a team of two people assigned to review ballots.
