Warriors fall to Bluff; start playoffs next week

The White County Warriors are playing a waiting game this week that will determine their state playoff fate. The Warriors (18-9) wrapped up Region 7-AAA play last week by dropping the final two games of the series with Cherokee Bluff.

Warriors ready for area battle

On Monday, the White County High School boys' golf teams will make to the short trip to Dahlonega in hopes of earning a spot in the 2021 Class AAA golf tournament. The Area 3 tournament, featuring teams from Region 5-AAA and Region 7-AAA, will be played at Achasta Golf Club.

Lady Warriors second at Swing; set for area tourney

A large group of high school golfers turned out last Saturday for the 14th annual Lady Warriors' Spring Swing tournament. This year's event was played for the first time ever at Apple Mountain Golf Club in Clarkesville.

WCHS rolls into Sweet 16 with 8-0 win over Ringgold

After finishing in a three-way tie for the Region 7-AAA soccer title and being relegated to the No. 3 spot due to a tiebreaker, the White County Lady Warriors could have easily come out flat in the first round of the Class AAA tournament. But they didn't.

WC kicks off state tourney next week

It's state playoff time for the White County High School soccer teams, and both squads enter the postseason fray with high expectations. The Class AAA state kicks off next with the first round of the girl's bracket on Tuesday, April 20, while the boy's division begins play on Wednesday, April 21.
