Area coaches weigh in on football delay

On Monday, the Georgia High School Association announced plans to delay the start of the 2020 high school football season. The GHSA Board of Trustees voted 12-0 to postpone the start of the season until September, but plans to plan a full 10-game schedule, along with the state playoffs.

When the news came out late Monday that the Georgia High School Association was postponing the start of the 2020 high school football season, most people around the sport considered it to be a positive step forward.

Thanks to the Georgia High School Association lifting some restrictions on workouts rules, the White County Warriors have been able to ramp up their summer workouts over the past two weeks.
