Monday, Oct. 7, is the deadline to register to vote in the upcoming municipal elections for Cleveland and Helen, with early voting starting the week after.
The playground at Helen’s Riverside Park is getting an upgrade.
Helen City Commissioners approved purchasing new playground equipment for the park.
Alpine Helen’s 50th anniversary celebrations continue this Friday, Sept. 20, with a birthday party for the Bavarian-themed village.
The Helen City Commission will require horse-drawn carriage businesses to find a new, private site for their loading area by the end of the year.
