An evening to support the arts in Helen – and a chance to take home a variety of original artwork – is a week away.
The Art Off the Wall fundraiser dinner for the Helen Arts & Heritage Center, will be held at Helen’s Holiday Inn Express & Suites Conference Center on Friday, Aug. 16. This year’s themed event will mark the 50th anniversary celebration of Alpine Helen.
The evening of dining and fun is capped off with guests taking home a piece of fine art, such as original paintings, pottery, jewelry, fiber art, along with other gift items from local merchants.
The social gathering will also feature a beverage bar, music, dinner and desserts.
“Our community of volunteers and generous donors, including those from Habersham County, make it all possible through their generous support of the arts center and our efforts to bring a fun-filled celebration of the 50th anniversary of Alpine Helen,” says HAHC Director Nancy Ackerman.
Reservations can be made by visiting helenarts.org or in person at the arts center at 25 Chattahoochee Strasse in downtown Helen. Guest parking is available in the rear area of the center. Early reservations are encouraged as seating is limited.
The arts center is open Monday through Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
