Charges are pending in a fatal three-vehicle accident that occurred today that involved a 92-year-old Cleveland man.

The accident occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Alt. 75 at its intersection with John Head Road, according to Cpl Josh Hedden with Georgia State Patrol Post 6. At the time, George Lee Watson, 92, of Cleveland, was driving a 1994 Honda Accord south on Alt. 75. A 2004 Suzuki SV 650 MC driven by Larry James Robinson, 65, of Dahlonega, and a 1978 Yamaha RD 400 MC driven Joshua Charles Robinson, 31, of Dahlonega, were heading north on Alt. 75 and were negotiating a curve to the left.

According to Hedden, the Honda started to turn left onto John Head Road and failed to yield the right of way. The Honda and Suzuki hit head-on as the Honda was turning. The Yamaha tried to avoid the crash and overturned onto its right side.

Larry Robinson was fatally injured in the crash. Joshua Robinson was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with minor injuries. Watson was not injured.

Charges are pending, according to Hedden.
