Sheriff's Office investigating shooting death

The White County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting Tuesday morning.

Deputies responded to a domestic call around 4:50 a.m. on July 20 on Boco Hills Road in Sautee Nacoochee. During the domestic incident, there was a physical altercation between a father and son, resulting in the death at the scene of 34-year-old Anthony Orem Chambers of Sautee Nacoochee from a gunshot wound, Sheriff Rick Kelley said in a statement.

WCSO investigators requested the help of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Scene Unit. Kelley said the case is ongoing and that no charges had been filed as of Tuesday morning.
