County OKs annex to city

by Eric Tiongson White County News   The Cleveland city limit is getting a tiny bit bigger. During their meeting on Monday, Aug. 5, the White County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a request for annexation and re-zoning from the city of Cleveland for land on U.S.

by Samantha Sinclair White County News   Cleveland is getting a new fire station to go along with its new ladder truck next spring. The Cleveland City Council approved the project at their meeting Monday night. The fire station will be at 84 Underwood St.

Man arrested on illegal fishing charges on Chattahoochee

by Eric Tiongson White County News   One person became an reminder of the rules for fishing over the weekend. Da Tun, 27, of Stone Mountain, was arrested on July 26 on numerous charges of illegal fishing by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

by Samantha Sinclair White County News   Families started lining up for backpacks full of free school supplies almost an hour before the annual Back to School Bash began at Freedom Park Saturday. Paige Summerour was one of the first in line to pick up backpacks for her six children.
